Since the day the forbidden fruit was plucked from its branch, the tree felt a growing resentment to mankind. Unable to blame the infantile forms that caused it such pain, it instead focused its anger on the creator of its tormentors and all life.
Each day it grows higher still, reaching up to the heavens, looming over the feeble humans below, its dark branches forever reminding the masses of the obstacles they will have to face before they reach heaven.
